The White Swan in Hunmanby is a historic old coaching inn on the Yorkshire Coast halfway between Scarborough and Bridlington. It is in very real danger of being sold off by its current owners for development into housing. Save Our Swan Action Group The "Save Our Swan" Action Group was formed in March 2013 by villagers determined to save The White Swan from the fate outlined above. On the 10th September 2013 the group was registered as an Industrial & Provident Society:
Action Group Objectives The objectives of
the Group are to ensure the White Swan Public House in the Parish of Hunmanby,
North Yorkshire continues trading as a Public House/Restaurant/B&B by
acquiring the freehold premises. The venue shall promote social activities and
events for the benefit of the community whilst improving the economic viability
of the village by generating employment opportunities and the encouragement of
tourism. Latest News For all the latest news please see the link at top right hand side of this page. Expression Of Interest An "Expression Of Interest" leaflet has now been delivered throughout Hunmanby. To see what this means to you please click on the new Expression Of Interest page (top-right).
